- Hint Track Profiler Read Me
-
- Hint Track Profiler is a diagnostic tool for looking at hinted QuickTime movies. To use
- Hint Track Profiler, run it and open a movie.
-
- The top graph shows the streaming packets that will be sent. Under it is a graph for
- each track, that shows the track samples. Clicking on a hint track sample highlights
- the packets that are specified by that hint sample. Clicking on a packet highlights
- its corresponding hint sample, and also highlights the media sample that will be sent
- in that packet. Clicking on the row header for a track graph selects the track.
-
- You can zoom in or out on the graphs.
-
- There is a text edit view that shows an info dump of the current selection. The
- format of the dump depends on what is selected. You can click in the view and copy
- the text.
-
- There is a movie view where you can play the movie that you are looking at. When you
- click on a sample, Hint Track Profiler sets the movie controller to the sample time.
-
-
- Known Problems
- --------------
-
- IMPORTANT: Install the ATI Video SW Update 1.0 before using this application on a B/W G3 or crashes may ensue.
-
- Resizing the window may cause the movie controller to stop accepting mouse clicks.
-
- The controller for a sound-only movie is not shown correctly.
-
- The movie view doesn't always update when clicking on a sample to go to a time. Sometimes
- moving the window solves the problem.
-
- If you click in the text edit view, the graph zoom commands are not available, even
- if you click back on the graphs. Pressing the tab key once to focus on the graphs makes
- the zoom commands available again.
-
- When you click on a packet, if it references samples that are in a track that has been
- edited, Steelhead doesn't highlight the referenced samples because it can't figure out
- where they are in track time.
-
- When some samples are selected, the highlighting is not visible. Usually this happens
- with samples that have a small duration (1), but it is a problem only for some of the
- samples. Zooming in can help.
